[KLF] Dirty Beats Done Dirt Cheap (Decade Of Dance Mashup Mix)

Flashbacks and dance tracks! For those in a hurry, here’s 10 years of electronic music all rolled into one mix of 11 minutes, a giant mashup of tracks, basslines, beats and vocals. The first to spot all 56 (!) tracks wins a bag of virtual cookies!

http://soundcloud.com/c-row/dirty-beats-done-dirt-cheap-decade-of-dance-mix

Each minute represents one year from 2000 to 2009. I tried to keep the years separated as good as possible, tough some tracks’ single and album release differ from each other, and I happily used this exploit every now and then.

Happy hunting! :)

The Great KLF Online Christmas Special (Part 4)

Welcome the last two posters of our short series – while last week was a Cauty-only show, today it’s Bill’s turn again to slip in some rather unexpected roles in your favourite Christmas movies.

With this, we say Good Bye for the next few days – even geeks like us need to take some days off sometimes. All the best wishes, and see you again in 2007!

All retouching has been done by Daniel Erlemann for KLF Online. No animals were harmed in the making of these. If you are offended by one of the images please let us know.

The Great KLF Online Christmas Special (Part 2)

The second candle almost burns, so it’s time to open the second door of our Advent calendar with two more images edited by Dan. Since the first episode focused on Bill and Jimmy in person, today we have some well known logos for you.

However, last time I tried to rent these movies at the local movie store, they just had some strange mock-ups in stock… I mean, X-MEN? Who’s ever gonna believe that?

The Great KLF Online Christmas Special (Part 3)

It was a busy Saturday, so we almost forgot opening this weekend’s doors on our Christmas calendar – but only almost. Enojy these great posters which once more have been created by Dan.

As always, we can not be held responsible for the startling looks you might get at your local video store when trying to rent these.

How to get what you want

On our website you can find different kinds of download sources and sometimes it is difficult to get the stuff. Here we want to give you some information about this.

youTube

On youTube you can get different types of files.

  • flv (normal quality)
  • flv (high quality)
  • mp4

You have different ways to get this files.

The first possibility is to add a parameter to the URL &fmt=6 for the flv (high quality) and &fmt=18 for the mp4. When the video is completely loaded you can check your Internet cache for the file.

here is a example for the temp files of KLF – What Time Is Love (Pure Trance)

http://nyc-v134.nyc.youtube.com/get_video?video_id=RNvgXJdZJZY&…
http://anug.vp.video.l.google.com/videoplayback?id=44dbe05c97592596&itag=6&…
http://ehpr.vp.video.l.google.com/videoplayback?id=44dbe05c97592596&itag=18&…

The second possibility is file2hd.com here you can get the files in this way.

1. copy the youTube URL
2. open file2hd.com
3. paste the URL into the input field
4. set a flag into the agree field
5. select “Movies”
6. press “Get Files”
7. select one of the two links to start the download

Here you have no possibility to download the flv (high quality)

What can you do with this files?

The flv and mp4 files can normally not played by the windows media player but when you install the right codec it is possible, but there are some players which can also play the files.

As a example flv works with IrfanView and mp4 works the media player classic.

But you can also extract the audio files.
For flv you can use FLV Extract and so you can get mp3 files.
Here is it better to use the flv (high quality) file.
For mp4 you can use Super and so you can get a AAC file.

mySpace

The mySpace videos can you get like the same way you can get the youTube videos.
You can use file2hd.com or you can check your Internet cache for the file.
This is a example for the temp file of mySpace Atomizer

http://myspacem-411.vo.llnwd.net/legacycms/0020491/12/49/2049149421.flv?…

mySpace videos are flv filese and so you can try to play it or to extract the mp3s like the same way you can do it with the youTube flv files.

The mySpace Music can you get with file2hd.com in this way.

1. copy the mySpace URL
2. open file2hd.com
3. paste the URL into the input field
4. set a flag into the agree field
5. select “Audio”
6. press “Get Files”
7. select one of the links to start the download

You have here the posibility to download the mp3s in two versions.

  • streaming version (what you hear on mySpace)
  • original version (the original uploaded track)

imeem

To get the music from imeem you can do it in this way.

1. copy the imeem URL
2. open file2hd.com
3. paste the URL into the input field
4. set a flag into the agree field
5. select “Audio”
6. press “Get Files”
7. select the link to start the download

This does only work with FireFox.
Here you get a flv file, to extract the mp3 you can use FLV Extract.

ifolder

ifolder is a website like rapidshare but it is in russian language and so it is difficult for some users to get the hosted files.

You can get the files in this way.

1. click on Скачать
2. click on one of the links
3. wait for the counter on the right upper corner
4. click on нажмите сюда
5. type the number from the picture into the input field and press enter
6. click on the http:⁄⁄stream.ifolder.ru⁄download⁄… link

The17 – no more Kopyright Liberation ?

Today is a bad day, because today I got this message from youTube

Dear Member:

This is to notify you that we have removed or disabled access to the following material as a result of a third-party notification by PENKILKN BURN claiming that this material is infringing:

Be aware that there may be adverse legal consequences in your country if you make a false or bad faith allegation of copyright infringement by using this process.

Sincerely,
YouTube, Inc.

I found this video some days after the performance on youTube.
It was a private camcorder video uploaded by a other user.
Bill Drummond stands on a Landrover and introduced the17.
After this follows the performance of the17,
but this was not live it was just a playing of a recording.

Now I removed all unoffical The17 videos from youTube because they written:

Repeated incidents of copyright infringement will result in the deletion of your account

and this would be the end of klf-communications.net on youTube

a question to Bill : no more Kopyright Liberation ?

KLF Online… well, online again

John was slightly faster than we were, but then again, that made for some extra motivation. Well then… after 11 months of silence, we are finally ready and KLF Online is back again.

We ditched the old page in favour of an easy to setup and maintain WordPress blog which lets us make changes on the fly and add content almost immediately, so we can spend more time filling the pages rather than fixing their source code.

We are especially happy to announce that “nosey” John Milne ;-) accepted our offer and joined the team of KLF Online. Looking forward to your contributions, John!
