[Orb] sessions and dub

So I got a copy of Orbsessions 2. I have a couple of cents to throw into the pile.

I like that there are some songs from Cydonia and Bikes and Trikes that have a resting place on here. I am glad that LX changed some mixes as well. “Ralph’s Cupboard” and “2026″ are certainly up there with the best Orb tracks ever. At least “2026″ has a great new ending, but “Ralph’s Cupboard” feels like a center segment to a larger, more ambient piece. I wish there was more lead up to the sample on “2026″, and “Ralph’s Cupboard” starts AND ends too quickly. I wish these songs were creepers, instead of so sudden. Live mixes…live mixes…live mixes…anyone…anyone?

Also, about the Trojan Jukebox. I think it’s pretty well established amongst everyone here that “Ambient-Dub” has always been their stronghold? I can’t wait to hear some of LX’s favorite Trojan records…and finally Mad Orb sees some light. Love it!!
