KLF’S JIM CAUTY GETS NICKED

press:1996-11_muzzikKLF member, the “revolutionary” Jim Cauty, was arrested following his involvement in the Trolheim A30 road protest near his home in Devon. Police executed a warrant to search his home on October 26, where a number of items were found and confiscated under the Firearms Act.

Cauty, who had led what he described as a “triple-A formation attack ensemble” against the 13-mile dual carriageway to be built between Hon iton and Essex, was also asked to remove two Saracen tanks from the protest site.

The vehicles had been fitted with a 15 kilowatt sound system, through which the KLF provocateur planned to transmit, among other things, Abba’s “Greatest Hits” and his own composition, “Battle Of Fairmile”.

Following his arrest, Cauty was taken to Torquay police station, where he was later released on bail.
