[KLF] KLF on iTunes

I don’t know whether this is old news or not, but I’ve just found the TVT
version of the Timelords Doctorin’ The Tardis single on UK iTunes, which
obviously includes the original WTIL Pure trance a-side:

[KLF] Disco 2000 – Uptight CD

Hi Everyone

It’s not often that I post on this list, but some of the old-timers will
know me!

I’ve got a favour to ask – somebody made me a CDR years ago that had a copy
of the Euro CD single of Disco 2000’s ‘Uptight’ (CICD7 961) on it. I have
found the CDR to be unplayable.

I wondered if anybody here has an original copy that they could make a
quality rip of all 4 tracks (e.g. using EAC) and upload it in WAV format for
me to download?

Big favour I know, but here’s hoping.

[KLF] White Room Movie 1989 and 1992 Soundtracks

Thanks to Andy Lee, many of us have The White Room movie in fantastic
quality on DVD. Older list members may be aware that this move exists with
two different soundtracks – one from 1989 and one from 1992. Andy’s version
of the film has the later 1992 soundtrack that uses many of the familiar
tracks from the 1991 album of the same name. The 1989 version uses tracks
(and many unreleased remixes) from the unreleased 1989 soundtrack album.

What I am currently in the middle of doing is trying to add the earlier 1989
soundtrack as an alternative audio track on a DVD, so that you can switch
between the 1989 and 1992 versions. I always thought that the 1989
soundtrack suits the film better than the 1992 version.

The only sources I have for the 1989 soundtrack are from a VHS that Jai
Nelson copied for list members some ten years or so ago and the revised Mike
Dutton VHS in the orange sleeve called “This Is What The KLF Are About”.
Unfortunately, both these copies suffer from various drop-outs and
tape-stretches, which cause audio glitches. I would like to add a
near-perfect 1989 soundtrack to the DVD, but even with a lot of editing
between the two 1989 sources, there are still many imperfections.

Is there anybody out there on the list that has a version with the 1989
soundtrack that is in good quality? If so, would they be willing to either
lend it to me, or make a CD copy of the audio element, so that I can add it
to the DVD?

How do you tell the difference? Well, the easiest way is to watch the end
of the film – the 1989 soundtrack ends with the Pure Trance version of What
Time Is Love with answer-phone messages playing over it and the 1992
soundtrack is the Live From The Lost Continent version of Last Train To
Trancentral.

If you can help – please mail me off the list.

Thanks

[KLF] Does anybody have…

.an original copy of the following CD:

CD5: 199? CN (Somersault; SOMCD 736) [paperboard sleeve]

3:26 Gary In The Tardis

4:08 Doctorin’ The Tardis (minimal mix)

6:20 Gary Joins The JAMS

3:34 Doctorin’ The Tardis (7″ edit)

4:28 Doctorin’ The Tardis (instrumental)

8:11 Doctorin’ The Tardis (12″ mix)

And if so, would you be willing to make me a decent CD-R copy of it using
something like Exact Audio Copy (EAC)? As a long-time (now mainly lurking)
list member and old-timer I don’t want mp3’s or anything like that, just a
high quality rip and burn onto CD-R (like the old days!).

I would be willing to cover any costs, or alternatively, I could offer a
copy of the 2K Barbican camcorder footage on DVD. I shot the original
footage and have just had it transferred direct from the original tape onto
DVD for prosperity. I would be willing to make a copy of this DVD for
anybody that could provide the above CD-R.

[KLF] Cover Art

Does anybody know if there are any decent scans of all the KLF/Jams record
sleeves? I’m putting my KLF stuff onto iTunes and my iPod and I wanted some
images of the cover art – particularly the vinyl only releases like the PT
series and KSTJ etc.

[KLF] Magic Roundabout – WL 12″ – Query

Back in the early 90’s on a pirate radio station I heard a dance version of
the Magic Roundabout theme tune – a sort of metallic rendition over some
dance beats – which at the time I thought was pretty cool. I went out and
bought it on a white label from my local dance shop, but I can’t remember
what it was called or who it was by. I vaguely remember the DJ calling it
“Yo Mr Bad Guy” by “The Magic Roundabout Crew”.

It’s a 3 track WL, with the following matrix etchings:

WC6 A1 BOING

WC6 B1

Side A has two tracks and Side B has one track.

I had a search around and the nearest thing I can find is “Everlasting Day”
by “Magick Roundabout” on the Orb’s Wau! Mr. Modo label, which has a MAGX8
catalogue number. Is this the same thing? Anybody?
